What Do You Mean No One Cares? Transform Your Thinking

transform your thinking

I often wonder what the expression on my face looks like when I just finished saying something insightful or inspirational and then someone says, “but no one cares.” On the inside I am literally screaming. I feel compelled to explain that the “but no cares” statement is complete and utter bullshit.

If literally no one cared I honestly believe buildings would be burning down and there would be chaos in the streets. There are over 7 billion people on this planet and if no one cares or cared, then I don’t think I would be sitting here writing this to you. Few, if any people would exist.

The reality is that people do care. I am a human creation as a result of  love and care. Personally, I care lots for our world. I dedicate my career, my time, my life to how we treat our planet. I care about the people that inhabit this fine place we call earth. If I didn’t, the world would be a little less bright. That seems dramatic, but it is true.

You see when a few people care; it inspires others to do the same. It’s human nature and emotion that drive us to care for the things we hold most dearly to us. Care comes from love and love exists all throughout the world. Sometimes we are influenced unknowingly by things we read or hear or people we interact with. It can sway either in the positive or negative direction.

It is common for people to think that no one cares or that individually they can’t have an impact. It is programmed within us to be fearful. You can’t read an article in a newspaper without seeing all of these fear words. Words like chaos, destruction, death, doom always seem to grab front page headlines. You get the picture. It is no wonder why people will recite the words “no one cares” like it is their own personal mantra.

The purpose of this writing is to go against what we are programmed to think and tell you that there is a lot of care and love in this world. There are incredible and phenomenal actions taking place each and every day. You don’t have to look that hard for the good, you just have to BE.

Today, I ask you to find a positive story or person and share it with someone. And you will see quickly all that is right with the world and that people do in fact care, A LOT. I am sure you will find something that will inspire you enough to do something good and demonstrate your caring attitude.

This post originally was inspired in regards to environmental purposes, but honestly this can be applied to any area of your life or passions. My personal mantra that I want to share with you is that each individual person on this planet makes a difference. Never for a moment think that you don’t matter. You do and it is all because of love and care.

I would love for you to share your stories of positivity with me. In return I will share these stories with the rest of the world to be inspired by.

To get the ball rolling, I will share with you one of my local inspirations. He is a friend and environmental advocate. His name is Jim and he works tirelessly on small projects in our local community that are good for the health of our bay and other waterways. It supports both the health of the surrounding environment and the economy. Jim does these things because he cares and it is simply the right thing to do. I am so grateful to have someone that cares for these things like I do. And to that I say thank you!

Let’s keep this going. Share your stories of caring, sharing and all the positivity you can muster. Email your submissions to info@GreenMeLocally.com. We will create a special page on our website dedicated to your stories of love and caring.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and go out now and do something epic!
