Beyond the Label’s mission is to explore how wearing sustainably made and socially responsible clothing changes global economics, global environments, and human health.
Through a series of activations the BtL Team educates consumers and designers about how there dollar really does have an impact globally. Through authentic nerdiness, passion and humor, the BtL Team proudly boasts about influential brands doing good as well as healthy and positive designs, production, fabrics/dyes, clothing care and waste management .
Some activations include Fashion Shows, Upcycling Labs and the BtL T-shirt Exchange.
The BtL (Beyond the Label) T-shirt Exchange Program: The BtL T-Shirt Exchange gives consumers an opportunity to exchange a gently worn tee for a new tee that is sustainably and ethically made with the signature “nutrition label” graphic printed on the front of the T-shirt.
The T-shirt recycle program part of the Exchange illustrates the issues with disposable clothing and the disposals of clothes. The gifting of a new sustainably made T-shirt gives the BtL team an opportunity to share about brands that still produce irresponsibly…and how you can have an effect on how and what these brands produce.
