Our last storm drain marking event was too damp to complete, so we’ve re-scheduled for Saturday, October 18 at the same place (Water Works Park, Tampa) and same time (9am-noon).
We are asking everyone to come out and volunteer to protect our bay from harmful runoff by putting these labels (see photo) on storm drain covers. This is a great project that welcomes VOLUNTEERS OF ALL AGES, so grab your family and join the Tampa Bay Watch crew next weekend for a morning of environmental and community service. The project is funded by Zephyrhills #FLFavorites social media campaign.
Volunteers will meet at Water Works Park in Tampa at 1710 N Highland Ave. Registered volunteers will receive more directions via email the week before the event. For more detailed information and to sign up as a volunteer for this project click the following link:
