GreenWaste is a locally based and privately owned company dedicated to the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions to address the everyday environmental challenges related to solid waste. We are pleased to be the service provider for residents and businesses in the City of Palo Alto to collect recyclables, compostables and garbage from all customers.
We bring our unique suite of expertise and facilities to collect and process materials discarded by residents and businesses in Palo Alto and we utilize these facilities to process all recyclable materials and compostables collected in the City. Together with our sister company, Zanker Road Resource Management, Ltd., we own and operate multiple complimentary processing facilities: a state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility – the first of its kind facility where recyclable materials and solid waste are processed side-by-side; Zanker Materials Processing Facility – a national leader in construction and demolition diversion, Z-Best Composting in Gilroy – where yard trimmings and food waste are transformed into nutrient rich soil amendments; and Zero Waste Energy Development Company’s Dry Fermentation Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Facility in San Jose – this facility processes and recovers energy from source separated food waste, creating two products: biogas containing methane and compost.
