Florida Aquarium pays homage to the various species of sharks during Shark Week August 9-16 with ongoing shark-themed activities for the whole family.  The Aquarium is also offering a $5 discount on a full paid child admission during Shark Week  when you print out and color your own shark week mask or glasses and wear them to the Aquarium. Discounted tickets must be purchased at the Aquarium and the mask and glasses can be downloaded from the Aquarium web site at flaquarium.org

Activities for Shark Week Kickoff (August 9-10) include:
  • Breakfast with the Sharks (8-9:30am on Aug. 9)
    • Enjoy a delicious breakfast in front of our Coral Reef Gallery followed by a shark-themed tour of the Aquarium (extra fee applies)
  • Appearances by The Florida Aquarium Mermaids
  • Interactive shark games and learning activities
  • Special Guest Speaker  – Shark Expert Dr. Dan Huber (10:30am on Aug 9)

Week-long Shark Week activities (Aug 9-16) include shark-themed scavenger hunts throughout the Aquarium and shark-themed Dive Shows (11am & 3:15pm). For more information, call (813) 273-4000.
