As part of its 2015 Earth Month celebration, Rapid Refill Ink will join forces with Urban E Recycling from now – May 30, 2015, to present “Electronics for a Cause,” offering free recycling of consumer electronics . Recycling proceeds will benefit Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.

Office and household used electronics can be dropped off at Rapid Refill Ink, 10416 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The following items will be accepted for proper recycling:

Computers (desktop and laptop), servers, hard drives, circuit boards, UPS battery backups, monitors, printers, copiers, DVD players, VCRs, modems, cable boxes, satellite receivers, routers, lead acid non-spillable batteries, lithium ion batteries, cell phones, telephones, phone system hardware, insulated cable, all metals associated with electronics, video game systems and ink and toner cartridges.

Those wishing to donate large items, such as big screens or a large quantity of items, should arrange for pick-up by contacting Rapid Refill Ink at (813) 514-0680.

Urban E Recycling will wipe hard drives off-site and provide a data destruction certificate. The $5 fee will be donated to Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.

The event will also feature secure on-site document shredding for a discounted fee of .79/lb.
