EV Display and Solar Cinema. Display of EV’s from members of the Tucson Electric Vehicle Association and a showing of the classic 2006 movie “Who Killed the Electric Car” documenting the rise and fall of the first electric car available for lease to consumers: General Motors EV1.
Plug In America, the Sierra Club, and the Electric Auto Association have teamed up to organize plug-in parades, tailpipe-free tailgate parties, test-drives and many other grassroots activities that promote driving electric through National Drive Electric Week events.
The goal of National Drive Electric Week is to get owners of plug-in cars together with the general public so that the general public can learn from the owners what plug-in cars are like in the real world. We hope that this will lead more people to think about working a plug-in vehicle into a future purchase.
