The conference component of CHOW, taking place on June 5 and 6 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, will host over 50 distinguished panelists and speakers from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors who will present keynote addresses and participate in more intimate panels for deeper discussion. Themes for this year’s conference include:

- Restoration of Marine & Great Lakes Ecosystems
- Our Changing Ocean
- Working Together for Sustainable Waters
The Ocean Awards Gala, recognizing champions of marine and Great Lakes stewardship, will take place on the evening of June 5 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Past honorees include President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, former First Lady Laura Bush, Members of Congress, leading scientists, philanthropists, explorers, and dedicated community volunteers. Gala guests enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail reception, post-program dessert reception, and a menu featuring sustainable seafood.
On June 7, 2018, Capitol Hill Ocean Week provides the opportunity to elevate ocean and Great Lakes policy issues with Members of Congress and their staff during the first ever CHOW Capitol Hill Day. Capitol Hill Day will take place at the Capitol Visitor Center and give attendees the opportunity to engage with their elected officials and increase ocean policy outcomes. The event includes pre-event training webinars, a breakfast panel, lunch briefing, and an evening reception.
Participation in the conference and Capitol Hill Day are offered at no cost, with registration required; tickets for the Ocean Awards Gala are $350 per person, and corporate sponsorships are available. For more information or to register, visitcapitolhilloceanweek.org.
