My name is Jim Klafehn and I am a local business owner here in Ithaca. This year I am hosting our 2nd annual “National Drive Electric Week” event here in our wonderful city of Ithaca, NY.

National Drive Electric Week is a week long event that happens in cities all across the United States. NDEW was started many years ago with the goal of raising awareness of electric vehicles. It is a showcase in which current electric vehicle owners show off their cars and offer test drives to show the public the many benefits of going all electric.

The event is open to EV owners, their guests, and the public. It will be held Saturday, September 16th on the 100 block of W. State St in Ithaca, NY 14850. The event will be held in front of the State Theater and Gorgers restaurant. The City of Ithaca has generously offered to shut down thru traffic for the event.

If you would like to showcase your vehicle, please arrive between 10am and 11am so we can park your car. Please note: Ithaca receives hundreds and sometimes thousands of visitors every weekend so the area might be busy. Getting there early will help us safely set up before it gets too busy.
