As Miss New Mexico Earth, I want to make a HUGE impact for Think Global, Act Local month. What better way to act local but thinking global than cleaning one of the major rivers that feeds into our Gulf? The image to the left shows you the mouth of the Rio Grande, right as it meets the Gulf.
I have partnered with Albuquerque Parks and Recreation to host a River Clean Up for the Rio Grande on World Oceans Day, June 8th 2019.
Between 9:00am and 12:00pm we will be near the Pueblo Montano Picnic Area and Trailheadright below the Montano bridge! Come joing us and other members in the community to clean up the areas surrounding the water; not only saving our local ecosystems but those that reside in the Gulf of Mexico!
