Radishes are Becoming the New IT Vegetable

There is a huge variety to chose from, but my favorite is the black Spanish radish. This radish is literally black outside and white inside. Black Spanish radishes can be long or round in shape. They have a spicy crisp and slight bitter taste. Some of you may already know that bitter greens and vegetables are a must for liver health so this is one other vegetable you can incorporate in your culinary life.

Spanish radishes have also been around for thousands of years and been used as medicine in China and Europe.

The Spanish radish is shown to be one of the most nutritious radishes out there. You can put radishes in different categories according to the season – spring, summer fall and winter radishes.

Radishes contain only 16 calories per 100g of serving and radishes have the following vitamins, minerals and nutrition;

Since radishes have the ability to detoxify your body from toxin build up they fight liver and kidney diseases. They are also anti-bacterial and have anti-inflammatory properties.  Radishes are easy to incorporate in your salads and Spanish radishes are great with a little salt over them eating it next to a bowl of chicken soup. You will be amazed how delicious it is.

Radishes are amazing and lastly there is even more they do. Things like maintaining urinary health, they are high in fiber, they are easy to digest and are very filling, they also have a low glycemic index and help in the production of bile enzymes.
