Parks Planner Dana Carver of the Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation Division will talk about the proper care and planting of trees, as well as the importance of planting native trees.
Temple Terrace Code Compliance Director Joe Gross will have an update on City regulations related to trees. Both men are certified arborists and will be happy to answer your questions. You do not have to be a Temple Terrace resident to attend.
Will Moriarty, president of T.R.E.E. Inc., also will be on hand, and as part of the program the City will be giving away native bare-root seedlings (courtesy of T.R.E.E. Inc.), including red maple, sweet gum, tulip poplar and more.
Free copies of the Temple Terrace Tree Guide will be available. The full-color brochures provide a wealth of information on identifying, planting and caring for native trees, including tips for pruning and trimming, as well as advice for selecting the “right tree for the right place.”
