The 4th annual Coralpalooza will take place June 8th & 9th 2018 in Key Largo and Key West of the Florida Keys. Held in honor of World Ocean’s Day, this event manifests Coral Restoration Foundation’s belief that large-scale, massive action can help to save not only the coral reefs of the Florida Reef Tract (the third largest barrier reef in the world), but those across the globe. Events will be held in Key West and Key Largo, throughout the day on Saturday, June 9th, for both divers and non-divers alike. All divers must also attend an orientation on June 8th in preparation for the restoration work on June 9th.
Dive participants have the opportunity to make a lasting difference to the health of the Florida Reef Tract by working alongside the Coral Restoration Foundation team underwater. With an army of coral warriors outplanting corals, helping in our offshore coral nurseries, monitoring coral survivorship through our Citizen Science program, or participating in marine debris clean-ups, we grow and support the thriving reefs of tomorrow! Snorkelers are also welcome, and can participate through Citizen Science and debris-cleanups.
