Sustainability Initiatives at the University of Central Florida is hosting an electric vehicle display at the outdoor patio space of our Student Union. This location promotes high foot-traffic and engagement with students, faculty, and staff. It was a great success last year. If you would like to display your electric vehicle and provide information please RSVP your vehicle by clicking the blue register button at the top of this page. Due to campus safety measures, we have limited available space for vehicles ; you are encouraged to sign up a few weeks in advance if possible. You will be contacted by the City Captain to confirm your spot and will be provided with more information.
Plug In America, the Sierra Club, and the Electric Auto Association have teamed up to organize plug-in parades, tailpipe-free tailgate parties, test-drives and many other grassroots activities that promote driving electric through National Drive Electric Week events.
The goal of National Drive Electric Week is to get owners of plug-in cars together with the general public so that the general public can learn from the owners what plug-in cars are like in the real world. We hope that this will lead more people to think about working a plug-in vehicle into a future purchase.
