The University of South Florida’s American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Society of Women Engineers are hosting a beer tasting and science event from 6:30-10 p.m. on February 20th, 2015 at the University of South Florida’s Sam & Martha Gibbons Alumni Center. Proceeds benefit the organizations to support their mission of promoting Science, Technology, Enigneering and Math (STEM) education among youth in the local community.


Attendees will be able to sample over 50 local and national craft brews while listening to guest lecturers speak about beer science and other topics. The event will also feature some local vendors selling their all-natural, organic, green and/or beer-friendly products.

Attending breweries and vendors include 3 Daughters Brewing, Bastet Brewing, Boulder Beer Company, Brew Bus Brewing, Coppertail Brewing Company, Copper’s Hawk Winery, Gigi’s Gourmet, Green Bench Brewing Company, The Florida CANE distillery, Harpoon Brewing, Odd Elixir Meads, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Steve’s Gourmet Olives, Sunshine Canning, Two Henrys Brewing, and many more!

Tara LaSalla
