Santa Monica’s Office of Sustainability & the Environment, American Cinematheque and Sustainable Works invite you to a screening of TRASHED.

It’s not every day you see Jeremy Irons sitting next to a mountain of garbage, but if humanity doesn’t soon change its ways we may all soon be surrounded by refuse. Trashed points the way to more sustainable practices than “bury or burn.”
We hope the film will demonstrate that by changing the way we live our lives, we can contribute to our own survival and well-being and ultimately that of the planet.  ~Jeremy Irons

A panel discussion moderated by KCET’s, Valerie Zavala will follow the screening. The panel will include: Kim Braun, the City of Santa Monica’s Resource Recovery & Recycling Manager; Adam Holt, General Manager of recycling giant, Allan Company and  Susan V. Collins, President of the Container Recycling Institute.
