What does the Sonoran Desert and World Oceans Night have in common? The Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez) is within the borders of the Sonoran Desert. So join our celebration. Honor the world’s oceans by wearing blue and dive into the incredible variety of marine life and how we can protect it.
Tonight’s activities include:
- Fur, Fins, Feathers, and Fangs, a special live animal presentation with Monterey Bay Aquarium
- Interactive activities with community partners: Biosphere 2, Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans, Desert Dolphins, Lead Local, Marine Awareness Conservation Society, Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, Rubios, The Dive Shop, and The Fin Foundation.
- Food samplings from Agustin Kitchen, Fini’s Landing and Primo (Starr Pass).
- 14th International Exhibition of Botanical Art & Illustration: A Hunt Institute Traveling Exhibition
