Join the Sustainable Transportation Coalition of Hawai’i (STCH) and Blue Planet Foundation for the second annual Electric Island Drive on September 17, 2017. The event is part of the National Drive Electric Week, presented by Plug In America, Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association, celebrating a diversity of zero-emissions vehicles and highlighting the environmental, economic, and health benefits of electric transportation.
Participants will gather in small groups at specified locations (TBD, we will contact you with further instruction closer to the event date) in Windward Oahu and Downtown Honolulu at 9AM. Vehicles will depart at coordinated times and follow predetermined routes that merge together as one large group to drive through Waikiki and finish at Kapiolani Community College.
The event will culminate with an Electric Vehicle Fair from 12:00-2:00PM in the Kapiolani Community College parking lot. All caravan participants will receive mahalo gift bags and will have a chance to win some exciting door prizes. Anyone is welcome to attend the reception, even if they did not participate in the caravan or don’t own a zero-emissions vehicle. Light pupu and drinks will be provided.
